The Shakespeare Club of Pasadena was founded in 1888 as a literary study group devoted to the works of William Shakespeare.
As one of the earliest cultural and civic organizations in Pasadena, the Club quickly grew beyond its literary roots to become
an active force in community service and philanthropy. Over the decades, members have supported countless
charitable efforts, arts programs, and educational initiatives.
